The latest Fortnite update was released on Tuesday, July 30. This was a smaller content update that made a minor change to Battle Royale and Zero Build modes. Since it wasn’t a major update, it didn’t require any download, nor was there server downtime. Epic Games simply enabled new content that was previously added.

The Med-Mist is the only item that was added with the small patch. This fan-favorite healing utility is perfect for restoring health, and many players consider it the best healing item ever added to Fortnite.

The latest Fortnite update brought back one of the most amazing items

The Med-Mist is a spray item that was first added to Fortnite with Chapter 3 Season 1. Back then, it was a revolutionary item. Not only did it allow players to heal themselves periodically, but it was usable on the go as well. With the release of Chapter 5, Epic Games improved Medkits and Shield Potions, making them usable while moving. However, the Med-Mist is still incredible, as it has many other advantages.

The first major difference between the Med-Mist and the Medkit is the healing capacity. The item that was recently unvaulted can heal up to 150 health, while the Medkit is limited to only 100. Furthermore, the spray can be used multiple times throughout the match, which is not the case with the classic first-aid kid, as it disappears from the inventory after it’s used once.

Besides the healing capacity, the Med-Mist can also be used to heal teammates. Pressing the primary fire button, players can heal themselves, while they can spray their teammates using the aiming button. Thanks to this, the Med-Mist is a must-have for players who play Duos, Trios, or Squads.

The next Fortnite update is scheduled for Tuesday, August 6. This will be the final update of the current season, and it may unvault more fan-favorite items from the previous seasons. On top of that, we expect the update to add teasers for Chapter 5 Season 4 and possible event files.
