Another Fortnite Summer event was just released, giving players a chance to unlock new free cosmetics! Epic Games has prepared new content to release during this period, which is no surprise, although the first update of the event did not bring a lot of new things. Considering that this is one of the most popular annual events, we expect many new skins, quests, free rewards, and even some gameplay changes.

In this article, we will reveal everything we know about the popular Fortnite event, including its ending date.

When does Fortnite Summer Event 2024 end?

The Fortnite Summer Event began on Thursday, July 4. Interestingly, this will likely be the longest summer event ever. According to leakers, the current summer event in Fortnite is scheduled to end on August 16, at the same day Chapter 5 Season 3 ends.

Epic Games is currently on a break, which is why the initial summer update didn’t have much content. However, more content will be released over the next few weeks, including map changes and new items. Despite the lack of in-game content at the beginning, it’s important to note that free rewards are currently available, including a new glider.

This is the content we expect to come out during the upcoming event:

  • New skins
    • Some of them have been shown in previous surveys
  • Return of older summer-themed skins
  • New quests with free rewards
  • Map changes
    • Summer decorations
    • New POI
  • Unvaulting of older Fortnite items
    • Firework Flare Gun
    • Ice Cream Cones
  • New Creative maps with XP rewards
  • Weekly content updates

While we are waiting for the new summer content, you may be interested in unlocking a couple of free skins in Fortnite. You can also unlock a free Fortnite car for a limited time, so make sure to do it before it expires.
