As we approach the end of Fortnite Chapter 6 – Season 2, Epic Games is preparing another event. Just like in Chapter 5, it appears that each season will have a shorter event. The next one, while short, will bring a unique map change that was never seen before.
In this article, we will check what’s waiting for us in the next event. Keep in mind that the article contains spoilers and is based on a couple of recent leaks.
The next Fortnite event will introduce us to Season 3
Despite coming in early May, Fortnite Chapter 6 – Season 3 was leaked a while ago. The season will have a Star Wars theme, and its Battle Pass will bring several iconic characters from the franchise. On top of this, it will be one of the shortest seasons Fortnite has ever had. According to leakers, it will last for only five weeks.
Considering the theme of the next season, it’s no surprise that the upcoming event will have Star Wars elements. Hypex, the most popular leaker, believes that the release date of the Fortnite event could be around the corner. With the Star Wars Celebration taking place on April 18, Epic may release the event on the weekend.
Even though this will be a mini event, lasting for only a couple of minutes, it will bring a huge change to the map. More specifically, the leaker claims that the Death Star will appear in the sky once it ends. SpushFNBR, another reputable data miner, believes that the event will take place at Magic Mosses, which may also indicate that this location will change in the next season.
Epic Games hasn’t revealed any information about the event yet. However, considering that the next Fortnite update comes out on April 22, we’ll likely get an official confirmation soon.
