On Monday night, Epic Games brought back one of the rarest Fortnite skins of all time, Psycho Bandit. This skin debuted in Season X, just a few weeks before the release of Borderlands 3. However, shortly after that, Epic vaulted the skin for nearly five years, between May 2020 and April 2025. While it returned on Monday, we have to wonder when it will come back again.
The skin used to be the rarest gaming collab in Fortnite, but is now surpassed by Kratos, God of War.
Will Psycho Bandit return to Fortnite in the future?
After being vaulted for almost five years, Psycho Bandit will stay in Fortnite for almost a week. Epic Games will remove it from the shop on Saturday night, giving players five days to pick it up. What will happen after this? No one really knows. There is no guarantee that the Psycho Bandit skin will return soon, although its re-release date might not be too far away.
The Borderlands 4 release date is set for September 23, 2025. The video game will be released on current-generation gaming consoles and PC. This also includes Nintendo Switch 2, which will come out in the summer of 2025.
With Borderlands 4 coming out in late 2025, we expect Epic Games to have another collaboration with it. Not only does this open up the possibility of Psycho Bandit returning once again, but we may get more characters from the gaming franchise. Furthermore, the first time Fortnite collaborated with Borderlands, we also had Pandora, a unique location on the island that had a couple of special features.
The release of Borderlands 4 should be massive, and we can’t wait for it. Considering how successful the first collab was, it certainly won’t be surprising if we get another one a few weeks before the new game comes out.
