Cosmetic items are one of the best things about Fortnite. Thanks to a variety of items, you can wear LeBron James’ skin with Yoda on your back, while also doing Thanos’ finger snap. Since the game has been out for nearly seven years, it has thousands of cosmetics. However, some of these items haven’t returned in more than five years, and they are currently among the rarest Fortnite cosmetics.
Most players care about rare skins in Fortnite, although no one would say no to a rare emote or a glider. Interestingly, Epic Games recently brought back some of the rarest cosmetics. These cosmetics had been vaulted for more than five years, which is why their return was quite exciting.
These Fortnite cosmetics were among the rarest, but they recently returned
On Tuesday night, Epic brought back the Roadtrip glider to the Item Shop. Before the unvaulting, Roadtrip was the third-rarest glider in Fortnite, as only Mako and Heartspan were rarer than it. The glider was released on November 5, 2017, which made it one of the first cosmetics available in the game. However, players had to wait for 1945 days for it to return, which comes down to more than 5.3 years.
At the moment, Mako is the rarest glider in Fortnite. Considering that Epic accidentally released it to the Item Shop, it will likely stay at the top of the list. Heartspan, a free reward for Valentine’s Day 2019, is in second place, while Warthog is third.
Besides Roadtrip, the Fortnite developer also brought back the Rockbreaker pickaxe on the same day. The item was vaulted from June 12, 2019, to Tuesday, and was the rarest pickaxe in the shop. Furthermore, Rockbreaker had only come out twice to the Item Shop. After the unvaulting, the Aero Axe is now the rarest pickaxe, last seen on September 10, 2019.
It appears that Fortnite will soon bring back many other rare items. Considering that a lot of cosmetics have been vaulted for three or more years, this will certainly be an exciting period for those who’ve waited for some of the rarest Fortnite items.
