Epic Games added several new features to Fortnite with the release of Chapter 4 – Season 4. Survivor Medals are one of these features, and players who upgrade these medals can unlock exclusive cosmetic items. Unfortunately, Epic recently announced that medals would reset every season, which caused a massive backlash.
The only way to unlock the Prized Llama back bling is by upgrading Survivor Medals throughout the season. This is something that takes a lot of skill, which is why the Mythic Prized Llama is one of the most exclusive items in the battle royale game.
With the rank resetting every season, players are afraid that they will lose their cosmetic items. However, this is certainly not the case.
What is the point of upgrading Survivor Medals in Fortnite if they will reset?
Many players believe they will lose the Prized Llama back bling once the next Fortnite season begins. However, this is not something that Epic Games said. Instead, the development team simply clarified that Survivor Medals will reset.
Here is what the in-game feed said regarding these medals:
Complete the Common Survivor Medal 1 to unlock the Prized Llama Back Bling. Complete additional Survivor Quests to increase your medal rarity and earn the Mythic Prized Llama style. Survivor Medal progression will reset at the start of each season.Fortnite’s in-game feed
The point of upgrading Survivor Medals this season is to unlock the Prized Llama back bling. After unlocking it, it’s possible to unlock more styles by completing even more Survivor Quests and upgrading medals.
Resetting these medals at the start of each season makes a lot of sense and is not a bad thing. Epic Games will likely release another exclusive Fortnite reward that can be unlocked by upgrading Survivor Medals next season. Due to this, resetting the rank is the right thing to do.
Epic hasn’t said anything regarding the exclusive back bling, which is why it certainly won’t be removed from players’ lockers next season. Unfortunately, many players are upset and believe that the item will be either removed or reset once Season 4 ends.
