Fortnite Reload unexpectedly dropped along with the 30.20 update, bringing a new mini Battle Royale to the game that has been a huge hit with players, with it reaching over one million concurrent players each day so far since it launched. This new mini Battle Royale sees 40 players jump from the Battle Bus onto a smaller map inspired by Chapter 1, with POIs including Tilted Towers, Pleasant Park, and Retail Row returning.

U/v0idflam3 took to Reddit to share some concepts they have made for the new Fortnite Reload mode. These new map concepts show variations based on other iconic POIs throughout Fortnite’s history. The first shows a desert biome that combines elements from multiple maps, including Chapter 1’s Paradise Palms and Chapter 3’s Chonker’s Speedway.

The second map takes players to a further point in time in Chapter 1 when the southwest part of the map became a snow/ice biome in Season 7, including POIs such as Frosty Flights and Polar Peak.

The final concept is one that newer fans of the game will recognize as it takes players back to Chapter 4 and the Mega City POI.

It was revealed that the current Fortnite Reload map is labeled as “Iteration,” the same name given to the first Fortnite OG map. This indicates that we could see the map evolve and include POIs from future seasons. But some are also hoping to see maps based on future Chapters come to the game, or even have a rotating map system similar to what has been seen in games such as Apex Legends.
