The Fortnite OG mode is just a few hours away! The big mode will debut on Friday, and many players are excited about it. It will bring back the very first map Fortnite had, the map which hasn’t been active for approximately seven years. On top of this, the mode will have classic items and weapons, new cosmetics, and much more.

In this article, we will take a look at the exact start time of the Fortnite OG mode.

When is the next Fortnite update with the OG mode?

As previously revealed, the new mode will come out on December 6. More precisely, the OG mode will be released at 9 AM Eastern Time. This will be in the afternoon in Europe and late at night in Asia, while Oceania players will get the update on early Saturday. It appears that Epic has added all the necessary files with the first Chapter 6 update, which is why there should be no need for any download or downtime.

The first season of the Fortnite OG mode will begin on Friday at 9 AM ET, while it will end on January 31, 2025. The game developer clarified that this mode will be permanent. Due to this, we will get OG Chapter 1 – Season 2 in early 2025, then the third season later on, and so on. These seasons will be shorter, lasting less than two months.

The new mode will bring another seasonal pass. It will have three skins based on popular characters from Season 1, along with more than 40 other rewards. The pass costs 1,000 V-Bucks, but will also be included in Fortnite Crew. Furthermore, the new pass will have shared progression, which means that you’ll be able to level it in any mode, from regular Fortnite Battle Royale to Creative.
