Here’s what you need to know about Fortnite Most Wanted – how it works, and what you can get.
What is Fortnite Most Wanted?
Fortnite Most Wanted adds a new heisting game mechanic to the battle royale shooter. Across the map, you’ll now find Cold Blooded Vaults, full of exotic weapons for you and your squad.
To get into these vaults, you’ll need a Vault keycard – but you can only get these by felling tough Cold Blooded Bosses. They’re tough AI combatants, that’ll take some co-ordination from the squad to defeat.
Be aware, that even after taking down the boss, their minions will still be guarding the vaults themselves – so be on your guard.
What weapons can you get from Cold Blooded Vaults in Fortnite Most Wanted?
The weapons up for the taking in the vaults are as follows:
- Heisted Breacher Shotgun
- Heisted Explosive Assault Rifle
- Heisted Accelerant Shotgun
- Heisted Run ‘n’ Gun SMG
- Heisted Blink Mag SMG
Each weapon has some unique traits, making them well worth your while. For example, the movement speed and fire rate of the shotgun increases the more you damage enemies with it.
What is Heat in Fortnite Most Wanted?
Fortnite Most Wanted also adds a new mechanic called Heat. While the event lasts, doing actions related to the vaults will raise your Heat level – from one to four flames.
Raising your heat level gives you a buff – but the more heat you have, the more aggressive the AI Cold Blooded enemies will be to you. You’ll also become visible to other players in the environment and on the mini-map – so watch out for other squads coming for your ill-gotten gains.
The heat levels are as follows:
- Level 1 – Eliminated opponents drop more bars.
- Level 2 – Movement speed increases by 15%, and you’ll regenerate up to 100 health out of combat.
- Level 3 – Movement speed increases by 20%, and you’ll regenerate up to 100 health and 50 shield out of combat.
- Level 4 – Movement speed increases by 25% and you’ll regenerate up to 100 health and 100 shield out of combat.
What are Most Wanted Quests in Fortnite Most Wanted?
Most Wanted Quests are a set of challenges that will be available for the duration of the Most Wanted event in Fortnite.
Completing them raises your Infamy – and raising it enough unlocks some cosmetic rewards including the Cash Stack Back Bling, the Vault Guardian Pickaxe and the Cold Blooded Ace Outfit.
There’s five sets of these challenges, and completing each stage also nabs you a Cold Blooded Medallion. Earn five medallions, and you unlock the Solid Skull Back Bling.
Unlocking this Bling then also grants you some further Solid Skull Quests, which will evolve your Back Bling. These quests will be available until the end of Chapter 4 Season 1.
How long does Fortnite Most Wanted last?
Fortnite Most Wanted runs from today, February 14 until February 28, 2023 at 2am ET.
