There’s a lot of anticipation among Fortnite players around its next season in Chapter 5. As the Fortnitemares update and the Marvel season is set to wrap up on November 1, 2024, with a live event, players are speculating how the return of a rumored Season OG would play out.
However, on October 21, a massive Fortnite leak surfaced on social media, revealing the theme of the next season and putting all speculations to rest once and for all. But a new twist emerged that might change the way players perceive OG Fortnite.
Next Fortnite season will not bring OG Chapter 2, but a remixed version
Epic Games has started to send packages to its creator community, containing teasers for the next Fortnite season. The images of the package have started to leak online and data miners such as iFireMonkey have shared them on X.
As seen in the package, the next Fortnite season will be called Remix Chapter 2. In the package creators received a cassette containing a mixtape that featured musical themes of Chapter 2 seasons remixed by Marshmello.
The package also contained pins with new versions of Chapter 2 characters like Rippley, Midas, TnTina, and Ocean. Some pins featured items like Boogie Bomb, Sharks, Zero Point Butterfly, and the iconic clock tower from Misty Meadows from the Chapter 2 map.
Additionally, a teaser text was also seen in the package which said, “It’s time to play the B-sides of your favorite albums. Remember Chapter 2? It’s back with a new look and new beats. Get your needle drops on this golden season. Welcome to Fortnite Chapter 2 – Remix.”
The leak further led to excitement among the player base, where one player wrote, “I hope we get a Chapter 2 Remixed emote like the first one we got in the Chapter 1 OG Season.” Another chimed in, “Can’t wait for chapter two remix that map is my second favorite.”
