Epic Games has released hundreds of free Fortnite cosmetics over the past few months. These cosmetics include skins, gliders, wraps, and more. Rubius, a popular content creator, received his Icon Series skin recently as well. Besides the skin, the streamer has a couple of other cosmetics, including the adorable Wilson back bling.
Rubius’ cosmetics were unlockable for free during his cup. However, there is another reward you can unlock for free this week. It has a limited quantity, as only 200,000 Fortnite players will receive it. Due to this, make sure to follow the instructions in this article.
You can unlock another free Fortnite cosmetic soon
With more than 15 million followers, Rubius has one of the biggest channels on Twitch. He often streams Fortnite and has set several streaming records for this game, including 1.1 million concurrent viewers in 2018. Watching this amazing content creator, you will get a chance to unlock the E-Meow-Ticon, an exclusive item in Fortnite, for free.
Rubius will stream Fortnite on October 4, and the stream will include a Twitch Drop for the exclusive emoticon. In total, 200,000 viewers will get the cosmetic item, so make sure to tune into the stream once the content creator goes live. Furthermore, you need to make sure you link your Epic Games account to your Twitch account in order to be eligible for the drop.
These are the steps you need to take to get the exclusive emoticon for free:
- Create or log in to a Twitch account
- Link your Fortnite and Twitch accounts
- Follow your favorite streamer(s) – Optional
- Watch Rubius’ stream on October 4
To get the emoticon, you’ll likely have to watch the stream for at least 15 minutes. It’s unclear if this free item will come to Fortnite’s Item Shop at some point. However, there is a good chance that it will remain exclusive, so make sure to grab it this Friday. It’s important to note that the item was also obtainable during the Rubius cup, but only a few thousand players were able to get it.
