The next Fortnite event is less than 10 hours away! As players are eagerly expecting to see what it will bring, Epic Games posted an important announcement. The announcement reveals more details about the event and reveals the game mode it will be played in. Furthermore, the game developer urges players to log in early.

The season-ending Fortnite event is scheduled to begin at 6:30 PM Eastern Time. However, getting early in the game will be very important for anyone who wants to witness the event live.

The next Fortnite event will disable eliminations

Eliminations have been one of the biggest problems Fortnite players have had to deal with in the past Chapter 5 events. While these events were smaller, Epic should have disabled combat in them. However, that will be the case in the upcoming one. According to the company, Restored Reels will be a protected area where eliminations will not be possible.

This change will kick in shortly before the event begins and will stay active during it. After the event, we will likely head into another longer downtime that will bring a new season. Besides this, Epic revealed a few more essential information in another post.

The Fortnite creator clarified that the upcoming live event will take place in both Battle Royale and Zero Build modes. However, besides disabled combat at Restored Reels, it appears that Epic will also turn off the storm damage. Due to this, players participating in the event will be able to freely explore the map and pick any vantage point they want.

Finally, Epic Games urges players to log in early, clarifying that last-minute attempts may be unsuccessful. Considering that Fortnite has 2 million concurrent players at 11 AM Eastern Time, more than seven hours before the event, this is sound advice.
