The day of a big Fortnite live event has finally arrived! Epic Games will release Death Star Sabotage, a season-ending live event, on Saturday afternoon. The event is scheduled to begin at 2 PM Eastern Time, but there are a few things you need to do before it starts.
The upcoming Fortnite season will introduce plenty of new content, but it will also remove some features. Because of this, you’ll need to complete a few tasks to wrap up the current season and transition into the new one.
The new Fortnite season will remove a game mode, free skins, and more
After the live event concludes, Fortnite will enter downtime, marking the end of the current season. Due to this, you need to ensure that you finish the current Battle Pass and unlock all of its rewards. Unlike many previous seasons, this one will go straight into downtime after the event, meaning you can only progress the Battle Pass until 2 PM Eastern Time.
Besides the Battle Pass, you should unlock all the free skins in Fortnite. Two skins, Vanguard Zadie and Iridia Wayne, will expire with the release of the new season.
Fortnite Chapter 6 – Season 3 will also remove another OG mode. Due to this, you only have a few more hours left to play it, as it won’t be available once the event goes live.
Finally, if you want to attend the upcoming Fortnite event, you need to log in at least 30 minutes before. Servers tend to get overcrowded during live events, so it’s important to secure your spot. If you are not sure when to go online, we have the Fortnite event start date and time for every region.
