The Fortnite x Cybertruck collaboration has been quite controversial so far. The vehicle itself has been involved in some controversies, so adding it to the game may not have been the best move. However, Cybertruck is free, which is why many players are working on unlocking it. Unfortunately, there is a massive downside to using the vehicle in the game.

Cybertruck can be easily unlocked by completing Summer Road Trip quests. Considering that the vehicle would cost at least 1500 V-Bucks, making it free was certainly a pleasant surprise for Fortnite players. In this article, however, we will take a look at why you might want to avoid using the vehicle in the game.

Cybertruck puts Fortnite players at a massive disadvantage

Tesla’s electric SUV has received a lot of attention over the past few years. Its unusual design is a big reason why this is the case, and the vehicle has also gotten a bad reputation due to its breakdowns. Adding it to Fortnite seems like a great move for the automobile manufacturer, as in-game collaborations boost product sales.

Unfortunately, it turns out that Cybertruck has a big problem in Fortnite. It’s essentially a pay-to-lose vehicle in certain situations, which is not ideal. Unlike the other SUVs in the game, Cybertruck only has two seats that can be used for players. If you enjoy playing Squads and use the vehicle, two of your teammates will have to sit in its bed completely exposed.

Players who sit in the SUV’s bed can be easily damaged and eliminated. Due to this, you may want to reconsider using Cybertruck in Fortnite when you have more than one teammate. On top of this, even though Tesla’s vehicle is electric, it uses gas in the game. Before the truck was released, some players theorized that it wouldn’t use fuel, but this is not the case.

If you’re a solo player or enjoy playing games with one partner, you still need to be careful when driving the vehicle. Fortnite players are not fans of Cybertruck and most of them will shoot its drivers on sight. While unlocking the new vehicle in Fortnite is easy, driving it certainly isn’t. This may change in the future, but for now, be careful when stepping into it!
