New Fortnite controllers are now available for pre-order. Epic Games will release them within a few days, allowing you to take your game to the next level. In addition to these gaming accessories, you will also get codes for bonus cosmetic items. Interestingly, these new controllers may hint at the theme of Chapter 5 Season 2, the upcoming season which is less than three weeks away.

If you are on an Xbox Series X|S or Nintendo Switch, you will be able to get new controllers this week. Unfortunately, it’s unknown if Epic Games and Sony will release a special Fortnite controller for PlayStation 5. Considering how often these two companies have collaborated, it’s surprising that they haven’t teamed up to bring new controllers this time.

New Fortnite controllers feature Midas and Peely

Midas and Peely are among the most popular Fortnite characters of all time. Both of them have many different outfits in the game, and Peely is arguably the greatest “meme” skin. The popular banana will be featured on Nintendo Switch accessories, including the controller. Midas, the iconic boss with a golden touch, is all over the Xbox controller.

If you’re interested in checking out more info or pre-ordering these items, you can do it on Amazon:

Most of these items will be released on Friday, February 23. Peely earbuds are the exception, however, as they are scheduled to come out on March 13, a few days after Chapter 5 Season 2 begins. Furthermore, each of these items comes with a cosmetic item you can redeem on Fortnite’s website, as well as 1,000 V-Bucks you can use to purchase cosmetics from the Item Shop.

You can also purchase these Fortnite controllers separately. If you decide to do so, you will still receive codes for cosmetic items, so you won’t miss out on anything. While Amazon bundles these items together, the truth is that you don’t save anything by purchasing V-Bucks from this bundle. If needed, you can buy the virtual currency separately as well.

With Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 1 ending on March 8, these controllers may also hint at the theme of the new season. There has been a lot of talk regarding Midas’ return, so it will be interesting to see if Epic Games will bring him back next month. The new season also means that many free Fortnite skins will expire. Due to this, make sure to get them before it’s too late.
