The Fortnite community has become quite toxic over the past few years. With the addition of new game modes and features, players have divided into different groups. However, the Battle Royale mode is still the most popular, and that likely won’t change anytime soon. Due to this, this is the mode that gets the most praise, but also the most criticism.

Back in Chapter 3, Epic Games made some big changes to Fortnite. Besides a new map and items, the game developer added Tactical Sprinting and Tents as new gameplay features. This chapter also marked the beginning of crowned victories, which turned out to be a controversial addition. Two chapters later, many players dislike crowns, and they dislike gamers who collect them.

Fortnite players are unhappy with these players

Earning a crowned victory is a difficult task. To do this, players have to either win back-to-back games or pick up a crown from another player and win the game while wearing it. Either way, this is quite challenging, and many players cannot get it done. At the same time, some players specifically chase crowns, and the rest of the community isn’t happy with them.

Reddit user DayOfTheDab recently posted a video that shows a player who has 545 crowned wins. This number is either impressive or insane, depending on the type of player you ask. However, there is no doubt that earning 545 crowns took a long time and required playing for at least five or six hours a day. The Reddit post got a lot of engagement, with many players sharing their thoughts.

“It’s called having no life,” Commercial_Bag_8729 posted, referring to the amount of time the player spent in the game. User boringtired calculated the approximate time this feat too. “42% of this person’s life in the last 45 days has been playing Fortnite Battle Royale,” the player pointed out. “They definitely ain’t working 8 hours a day I can tell you that,” they concluded.

“I feel like anyone with over 200 crown wins in a single season needs a wellness check,” another user wrote, while hellhound39 simply called crown farming “unemployed activities.” Some users even called the player a loser, while others made jokes about not touching grass.

Farming crowns has always been frowned upon by the Fortnite community, and it’s unlikely that this will change anytime soon. Some players believe that crowns are pointless since they reset at the start of every season. Despite this, certain players keep farming them and showing them off, which is something that gives them joy.

Whether you like crowns or not, the truth is that many hardcore gamers love getting as many of them as possible. Besides, some players have spent thousands of hours playing Fortnite, so they might be looking for an additional challenge to make their games more interesting.
