Epic Games has always taken Fortnite cheaters seriously. Whether they ruin casual or competitive games, the company has gone after them in different ways. Most of the cheaters have been permanently banned from playing the game. However, some of them were banned from even making content about it, while others were taken to court.

The Fortnite creator has a zero-tolerance policy against cheaters. Due to this, the video game will soon have new ways to detect and combat cheating. Furthermore, Epic will keep pursuing legal action against cheaters and cheat makers.

Fortnite creators will come up with new ways to combat cheaters

Epic is known for taking in-game cheating seriously. As a result, many players have permanently lost access to their accounts. Popular content creators are no exception either, as Jarvis, a YouTuber with more than five million subscribers, was banned from playing Fortnite for life. The company has also taken several cheaters to court.

In a most recent competitive blog post, the Fortnite creator mentioned cheaters. “We continue working on and investing in new classes of detection to combat cheating in Fortnite,” Epic posted. Furthermore, the company is “ramping up legal action against both players who cheat and cheat sellers,” which will make it difficult to both use and develop cheats.

On top of this, Epic announced that players who team up with cheaters in competitive modes will face a 28-day competitive ban. This ban will increase for repeated offenders and could easily last for a few months.

It’s important to note that all of these changes will kick in with the release of Chapter 6, which is scheduled for December 1. Fortnite cheaters can be easily reported through the game’s reporting system. Furthermore, it is also possible to contact Epic Games support with further evidence of cheating.
