Fortnite is currently in Chapter 6, which began in December 2024. The chapter is expected to have four seasons, with another throwback season coming in late 2025. However, this may not be what Epic Games is planning. According to a recent leak, the current chapter will have more than four seasons, which is quite surprising.
The past three chapters all had four seasons each. However, it seems that Epic is changing its schedule and will make the current chapter longer than usual.
How many seasons will Fortnite Chapter 6 have?
According to recent leaks, the sixth chapter of Fortnite will have six seasons in total. If this turns out to be true, the chapter should end in the spring of 2026. Furthermore, many players expected another throwback season to arrive just before the current chapter ends. However, if Epic decides to make it longer, this may not be the case anymore.
The first chapter was the longest, spanning 10 seasons over roughly two years. Chapter 2 also lasted two years but featured only eight seasons. With Chapter 3, Epic introduced major changes, reducing the number of seasons to just four. This pattern continued with Chapters 4 and 5, each lasting a year and having four seasons.
The next Fortnite season is scheduled to launch on May 2, with several details already appearing in leaks. However, Epic Games has yet to confirm any of this information. Given the season’s release date, we anticipate the developer will begin teasing it in late April, possibly unveiling its theme and Battle Pass.
The future of Fortnite is bright, as Epic has prepared a lot of content for it. This time, though, there is no big roadmap leak, so we will have to take it slowly and wait for the developer’s confirmation.
