The Fortnite x Star Wars season is approximately halfway done. Epic Games has released several updates throughout it, refreshing it with new content. This season is unique in so many ways. Not only is it one of the shortest seasons of all time, but it also ends at an unusual time. While most Fortnite seasons end at 2 AM Eastern Time, Galactic Battle will be different.
In case you haven’t noticed, the current Fortnite season has a different ending date and time. Epic changed the season to end much earlier, which indicates a longer downtime after the live event.
When will the current Fortnite season end?
At the moment, the Fortnite x Star Wars season is set to end on June 7 at 2 PM Eastern Time. Most seasons end at 2 AM ET, but this is not the case with Galactic Battle. Considering that Epic Games revealed a live event that will take place on the last day of the season, this doesn’t come as a surprise.
The season ending at 2 PM ET also means that the downtime will be much longer, likely last for at least 12 hours. Furthermore, this also means that you will have to plan your leveling journey accordingly. Even though the leveling process is quick and easy, you may struggle to finish the Battle Pass if you can’t play often.
UPDATE: For the first time in nearly eight years, Epic Games will release a new Fortnite season at 10 PM ET. The next season is scheduled to be released approximately eight hours after the event begins.

While Epic changed the ending time of the season, this will also change the ending date in many regions. Players from many parts of Asia and Oceania will now get a new season on June 8. If the season ended at 2 AM, they’d get it on June 7 in the afternoon or evening.
Epic may change the release date and time once again. However, with the season ending in less than three weeks, this is unlikely.
