The latest crossover event in battle royale shooter Fortnite is upon us, with the game’s latest patch bringing about a new anime collaboration with Jujutsu Kaisen.
The ‘Break the Curse’ event will run from today until August 25, and brings with it a bunch of new quests to complete and rewards to earn for players. Aside from that, the new update also introduces new Cursed Techniques that you can learn by breaking open special Llamas that are roaming around the island. The update also puts three new costumes in the item shop for players to buy, in the form of the Jujutsu High Assembly – Megumi Fushiguro, Nobara Kugisake and Satoru Gojo.
Later this week, a Jujutsu Kaisen Cup will also be held from August 11, as a Duos Zero Build tournament with prizes to be won, depending on your performance. Nabbing yourself three eliminations will net you a Gojo’s Eye Emoticon and all players earning at least eight points get the Yuji’s Training Spray. If you’re good enough to become one of the top point-earning players in the region, meanwhile, you’ll get the Good Boy Kon Emoticon.
There’s not a massive amount in the way of patch notes for this week’s update, but you can read what there is below courtesy of Epic. The Jujutsu Kaisen crossover runs from now until August 25 in Fortnite, and comes hot on the heels of the recent crossover with Futurama which seemed to go down a treat with the Fortnite crowd.
