In Zenless Zone Zero, one of your main tasks is to help Phaethon reach the top of the Proxy world by raising its Inter-Knot level. And, like most games with a leveling system, ZZZ’s Inter-Knot ranking has a max cap that should be the end goal for any dedicated Hollow investigation team. Naturally, reaching the pinnacle of anything is a difficult task that requires a ton of effort and dedication. But in ZZZ’s case, it’s a nigh-impossible goal since it’ll take you at least a year to max it out.
Yes, even if you know the best way to level up Inter-Knot rank fast in Zenless Zone Zero, it will still take the same amount of time. At least, that’s according to a Reddit post from user Fun-Incident-8238. After all, there are only a handful of activities you can do each day that give out Inter-Knot experience. (HIA combat, daily errands, commissions, etc.) And since Inter-Knot rank 60 will require you to amass an obscene 276,325 XP (per Fandom’s Inter-Knot Credit table), Phaethon’s comeback will be a slow burn.
Of course, you can shorten the time it takes to reach the max cap by grinding out every commission available. You can also spend money to purchase in-game currency (Polychromes). This will allow you to refresh your battery charges for the HIA VR battles, which is undoubtedly the best way to get tons of experience quickly since each full battle grants 1,000 Inter-Knot XP. But that’s only if you want to get burnt out in the name of New Eridu and should only serve as a last resort.
For most casual players, though, who only play for a few minutes to an hour each day, it’ll be a slog to the top. However, it is worth pointing out that since Zenless Zone Zero is still in preseason, HoYoverse will likely introduce more events, freebies, and commissions to make the proxy grind much easier.
