Dark Zero has uncovered the first shot of Mark Wahlberg playing the role of Max Payne. The movie is said to have recently started shooting, with John Moore (Behind Enemy Lines, Flight of the Phoenix) directing.
The first shot of Wahlberg as Payne sees him standing by a car in the rain, possibly about to get into said car – exciting stuff.
There’s also some bad news for fans of the game hoping the movie will retain its adult themes, with suggestions that a PG-13 rating is hoped for.
Max Payne the movie is scheduled to hit screens in 2009.
