The upcoming patch for Final Fantasy XIV Online has been detailed in the latest letter from producer Naoki Yoshida.

According to Yoshida, patch 1.21 will finally feature the Job system, as well as UI improvements, housing, two new instanced raids, and an overhaul to food and medicine.

Initially the patch was scheduled to launch the second week of February, however it will now be delayed by two weeks due to the amount of new content being introduced.

Additionally users should look out for temporary server merges before the launch of FFXIV 2.0 in order to make sure there will be a big enough userbase on servers, particularly for European players.

The MMO recently brought back its subscription model after a period of free-to-play last year. In anticipation of Version 2.0, the game's subscription is available at a discount price of £6.89 per month.
