FUT TOTW 5 is here (Fifa Ultimate Team Team Of The Week 5), and despite initial concerns that it may not be able to compete with previous weeks, FIFA has surprised us with an incredible squad, that should have something for everyone.

How does Team Of The Week (TOTW) Work?
It’s pretty straight forward and as you can see in the name, it’s weekly!
EA assign an array of cards that are fleshed out every week showcasing the BEST players of that week for fans to have a chance to grab.
They’re limited however – only being in packs for one week only, so grab them while you can!
We’ve seen some excellent players crop up from the launch of TOTW and we’re expecting an even stronger line up this week.
Hopefully you’ll be able to pack a team of the week player, as EA have originally said that special content – to which team of the week falls under has a ‘probability of less than 1%‘ so it’s definitely lucrative to get your hands on!

FIFA 23 TOTW 5 Release Date
Just in case you’re new to FIFA, it is worth noting that the Team of the Week is released every Wednesday. So this week’s TOTW will be released on Wednesday, the 19th of October.
This means we get a TOTW on Wednesday and then a promo on Friday. The current promo is Rulebreakers.

FIFA 23 TOTW 5 Release Time
Much like the release date, we also know to expect FUT TOTW at the same time every week: 6PM BST / 1PM ET / 10AM ET. 6PM BST / 1PM ET / 10AM ET.
EA always releases their new content in FIFA at this time. The only reason it would not be released at this time would be due to some kind of complications.

FIFA 23 TOTW 5 Player Leaks
All the information below this point, was our predictions and leaks prior to the release of the team. We got a few right, but naturally, there were a few surprises.
So far we haven’t seen much about who will feature in this weeks TOTW, however the one player we have seen leaked is Liverpool’s Joe Gomez.
We have also now seen leaks that Brazilian ace Neymar Jr. will be featuring in TOTW 5. Whenever Neymar Jr. receives a card it is a real occasion, he is one of the best players in the game.
We have now got more leaks regarding this weeks TOTW. There looks to be some amazing players featured as we predicted the below players will feature:
- Marcus Thuram (Monchengladbach)The featured in-form – Thuram is set to be this weeks featured in form, making him a French 6’4″ striker, who will no doubt be lengthy in game. This card will be some striker.
- Leroy Sane (Bayern Munich) – If leaks are to be believed then Sane looks to be a central in form this week, beating out team mate Gnabry for the team of the week after they both had strong games.
- Joe Gomez (Liverpool) – Gomez’s in-form would be well deserved after he achieved the near impossible feat of keeping Erling Haaland quiet for 90 minutes.
- Nicolo Barella (Inter Milan) – Inter are beginning to get a few specials in FIFA 23, this Barella will link very nicely with Rulebreakers Dzeko if you’re using a Serie A team.
- Toni Kroos (Real Madrid) – Kroos is always pure class, despite his lack of pace. We were surprised to see that Valverde would not be in the TOTW, but he has already had three specials this year.
- Neymar Jr. (PSG) – If the leaks are to be believed, his new card will also be central – like Sane. This would be a great way around some squad building issues, whilst a boost on a player who has 5* skill moves and weak foot is always welcome. This Neymar Jr. will be near unobtainable due to his price.
- Silas (VfB Stuttgart) – Silas has been leaked, but we are still unsure about his position. We are hoping it will be RWB like we predicted, giving the Bundesliga a defender with 5* skills.
FIFA 23 TOTW 5 Player Reveals Predictions – who could appear in Team Of The Week 5?
We are expecting FUT TOTW 5 to be another strong week, after some key performances over the weekend.
With that said let’s take a look at who we think we will feature in FUT TOTW 5:
- GK – Alisson – Liverpool: One of the stars this past week, Alisson was clinical to help Liverpool secure their 1-0 win against Manchester City, tallying up some excellent saves.
- GK – Kepa Arrizabalaga – Chelsea: Chelsea are in a good vein of form right now, and Kepa looks to be slowly taking the No. 1 spot from Edouard Mendy.
- LB – Reinildo – Atletico Madrid: The only reason we have chosen Reinildo is because he managed to clinch Man of the Match in his game against Bilbao. There were no stand out LBs otherwise, so we think he should clinch it.
- CB – Joe Gomez – Liverpool: One player will have to feature from Liverpools 1-0 win against Manchester City, and although we thought it could be Alisson for his assist, we also think Joe Gomez is in with a shot after pocketing Haaland and picking up the Man of the Match award. An excellent player too in this year’s FUT as a budget player
- RWB – Silas – VfB Stuttgart: Silas is normally deployed on the wing for VfB Stuttgart, however this weekend he played at RWB and put in one of the performances of the weekend. He scored two goals, as well as nabbing himself an assist. We think he will be in the team, but he is also who we think will be the featured player in TOTW 5.
- CAM – Leroy Sane – Bayern Munich: Bayern Munich, in typical Bayern Munich fashion, battered their opposition at the weekend winning 5-0 against Freiburg, In a game like this, there will always be a few options for who can make TOTW, we think it may be Sane as he was playing more central than he normally does, which makes for a more interesting card.
- RW – Federico Valverde – Real Madrid: It is unusual for a player to have as many specials at the beginning of the season as Valverde, but he was once again Real Madrid’s best player at the weekend. If you beat Barcelona 3-1 in an El Classico, to go top of the league, someone has to make TOTW and Valverde was the man of the match.
- ST – Marcus Thuram – Borussia Monchengladbach: Thuram grabbed himself two goals at the weekend, securing his side the win. He was also playing up top in this game, so we are expecting the 6’4″ winger to be central in this TOTW.
- ST – Lautaro Martinez – Inter Milan: Earning Man of the Match, as well as bagging two goals is enough to get you into TOTW 5.
