We’re fast approaching that time of year again. A new football season is about to begin (well, in England anyway) and that means that FC 25, the latest edition in EA Sports’ flagship football series is just around the corner.
If you’re just as excited as we are about the upcoming FC 25 release date, then you’ve come to the right place. We’ve put together all the important info you need to know including when the game is scheduled to release, the different editions of the game and whether or not you can get access to the game early.
When does FC 25 release?
FC 25 is currently scheduled to release on September 27, 2024 on PC, PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch. This was confirmed with the official release of the game’s reveal trailer on July 17, 2024.
However, like with previous years, players will be able to access the game slightly earlier if they purchase the FC 25 Ultimate Edition. Players who pre order the Ultimate Edition will be able to play the game a full week earlier, starting instead of September 20 on all consoles. Players who purchase it by August 20 will also net themselves several pre order bonuses such as limited-time items for Ultimate Team in both FC 24 and FC 25.
The game is set to bring some of the biggest changes the series has seen in years, completely overhauling the way tactics and player roles work as well as bringing some massive improvements to the game’s Career Mode.
FC 25 pre order bonuses
If you pre order the Standard Edition of the game, you’ll net yourself a series of unique rewards for FUT, Clubs and Career Mode. Here is a list of all the Standard Edition pre order bonuses:

For pre ordering the Ultimate Edition of FC 25, you’ll get all of the rewards listed above as well as:

- Early Access Rush Rewards
How much is FC 25?
The Standard Edition of FC 25 will set you back £69.99 / $69.99 / €79.99 on consoles, but will be £59.99 / $59.99 / €69.99 for PC players.
The Ultimate Edition, which comes with some extra in-game rewards and early access to the game will cost £99.99 / $99.99 / €109.99 for console players, but similarly will be slightly cheaper for PC players, costing £89.99 / $89.99 / €99.99 instead.
If you’re an EA Play member, you’ll also be able to play a 10-hour early access trial of the game from September 20 onwards, as well as netting yourself a tasty 10% discount when purchasing the game.
