The Game Awards 2024 was full of exciting reveals right from a bizarre Pac-Man game to The Witcher 4. Among all the big announcements, one surely threw Souls fans off guard.

The announcement was from Elden Ring developer FromSoftware about its next title, which is indeed an Elden Ring game, despite their claims of denying a sequel to the award-winning Souls game. However, this one is quite different from your standard Souls game experience.

Bandai Namco and FromSoftware revealed the gameplay trailer for Elden Ring Nightreign, a roguelike. In the game, players must work together to survive for 3 days within an expansive world.

They will also need to prepare wisely by exploring the world and strengthening their characters in order to overcome the onset of Night, and the powerful Nightlords that await them on day 3.

The gameplay trailer showcased multiple knights fighting massive Nightlords, as you’d see in an Elden Ring title, in gorgeous detailed landscapes and expansive worlds like the popular title.

While the release timeline only showed 2025, players will most likely be able to get their hands on the game sometime mid of the year. Furthermore, it’s likely that the game will be available for all the platforms that the classic Elden Ring was available for.
