EA has suggested it will be announcing several new titles set for release in the first quarter of 2013 at gamescom later this month.

During its earnings call Q&A last night Cowen and Company analyst Douglas Creutz asked: “It looks to me like you have 3 consoles/PC titles that you haven’t yet announced what they are for the year. And is that correct? And also, is it correct that those are all scheduled for the March quarter?”

Interim Chief Financial Officer Kenneth A. Barker responded with: “On the title count, yes, there are six titles scheduled for Q4, three of which we’ve announced and are provided in our schedules.”

Those announced titles being Crysis 3, Dead Space 3 and SimCity.

So when will we hear more on the three mystery games? CEO John Riccitiello suggests in a matter of weeks.

“gamescom is when we do most of the rest of the unveiling. So we choose the major consumer shows as opposed to our quarterly financial results to announce titles,” Riccitiello concluded.

Guesses as to what these games may be include Insomniac’s multiplatform action title OverStrike, a new sim-based Need for Speed, and another entry in the Fight Night franchise.
