Announced at the EA Play event last night, EA said that it would be allowing free unfettered access to its EA Access, Origins Access and PlayStation 4 game trials (of which there are a few) from today until June 18.

Launched as a thank you to all those that took part in the Play to Give campaign, this is part of an EA campaign focussed on ‘play and inclusion going hand-in-hand’. Which is really rather nice.

The official line was, ‘It’s our way of saying thank you for coming together to show the positive force that games can be’.

It was quite a successful one at that, with EA noting that 5.7 million active players participated in the Play To Give in-game challenges over the course of three days from June 2-June 4.

So what do you get out of this charitable and caring occasion? Simple, a time-limited access to games with no strings attached.

There you have it. Free access to EA Access Vault titles on Xbox One for Xbox Live Gold members, free access to Origin Access on PC, and, on PlayStation 4, free game trials of:

  • Madden NFL 17
  • FIFA 17
  • TitanFall 2
  • EA SPORTS UFC 2
  • Plants vs. Zombies Garden Warfare 2

These are all available June 10 – June 18. In addition, PlayStation 4 players who already own Star Wars Battlefront can also play all premium maps and heroes through June 18.

So in the words of Ellie Goulding… ‘What are you waiting for?’

More details on this campaign can be had at the official site.
