Following the success of the UEFA Euro 2004 Portugal title released earlier in the year, EA and European football body UEFA have put pen to paper to secure one of the biggest licences in sport for the publishing giant.

Featuring over 230 teams, the game will be developed by EA’s Canadian offices in Vancouver – the team responsible for the perennially successful FIFA series – and is expected to ship sometime in February 2005 on the PS2, Gamecube, Xbox and PC.

UEFA CEO Lars-Christer Olsson says he is thrilled to be teaming up EA adding, “Our close collaboration throughout the development of this game has ensured that players will be able to experience the most life-like rendition of the UEFA Champions League in a game format”
