Upcoming 2D DS shooter Glory Days 2 is to feature special technology to create a 3D effect, making it appear as though the objects in the foreground are standing out from the background.

The game uses the Pufrich 3D effect to enhance the visual depth of the game,” Ghostlight representative, Adrian Clews told CVG. “By placing a slightly darker shade over one eye, light reaches that eye slower than the other, causing the 3D effect – it’s like a mind trick.

Glory Days 2 is scheduled for release in June and in addition to 3D visuals will offer 16 single-player missions and Wi-Fi multiplayer for two players.
