Don’t Starve: Nintendo Switch Edition will be released for Ninty’s hybrid powerhouse on April 12, Klei Entertainment has announced.

The Switch version of the delightfully macabre survival-’em-up includes the base Don’t Starve adventure plus all additional single-player content, so that means you get extras such as Reign of Giants and Shipwrecked, though the cooperative outing Don’t Starve Together isn’t featured.

Don’t Starve was originally released on the PC five years ago and has since come to PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, PlayStation Vita, Xbox One, and Wii U. The game sees you keeping scientist chap Wilson alive for as long as possible by stuffing him with food and battling against a variety of nasties that go bump in the night.

The game will set you back £17.99 when it hits the Nintendo eShop next week.
