Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 3 is almost over and all eyes are on Season 4, which has now been confirmed to be Marvel-themed with Doctor Doom returning to the island. During a recent Disney D23 event, new collaborations between Disney and Epic Games were revealed, including The Incredibles. But, it also looks like this will be just the first of many Disney franchises to come to the game, and the possibilities are incredibly exciting.
Prominent Fortnite leaker Shiina has revealed that The Incredibles is just the first of many collaborations with Pixar, hinting that many iconic characters could come to Fortnite in the future. While no other IPs were mentioned, a new leak has suggested that Lightning McQueen from the Cars franchise could be coming to the game too.
When it comes to possible future collaborations, there are many to choose from. An obvious choice would be Toy Story, with characters such as Woody and Buzz Lightyear being ideal candidates that would integrate seamlessly into Fortnite. Toy Story is also no stranger to video games, dating back to the 16-bit era with the first movie being transformed into a game for PC, Super Nintendo, Sega Genesis/Mega Drive, and Game Boy.

This continued through the future releases, with Toy Story 2: Buzz Lightyear to the Rescue being a huge hit with young gamers when it was released on the PlayStation, N64, Dreamcast, and PC in 1999, going on to be a top 10 seller for the holiday period. More recently, Toy Story 3 was released in 2010, where it remained the best-selling game in the UK for its first three weeks on store shelves.
Monsters Inc. would be another great option, with James P. Sullivan being a potential character, who could be joined by Mike Wazowski and Boo as a back bling, emote, or as part of a glider.
Looking at Disney as a whole, there is a lot of potential to bring many characters to Fortnite, which could be coming sooner rather than later as a recent leak suggested that Kingdom Hearts could be making its way to the game. Sora would be an obvious choice, but plenty of Disney characters such as Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck, and Goofy are featured in the game too. I do also hope this partnership could lead Square Enix to bring other franchises to Fortnite, such as Final Fantasy 7.
With Disney owning a minority stake in Epic Games, we can expect collaborations across the entire company to come to fruition, including more Star Wars and Marvel collaborations, as well as a metaverse project that is rumored to be launching in 2026.
