DICE has dropped an even greater hint that a Mirror’s Edge 2 reveal could be imminent, revealing that it has “a couple of surprises up [its] sleeve” for E3.

“E3 is less than a week away and we’re hard at work with all the awesome games that we have to show you,” said DICE VP Karl-Magnus Troedsson in a video posted to YouTube last night.

“Our excellent dev team is hard at work with Battlefield 4, of course, but we also have a couple of surprises up our sleeve. Make sure that you tune in or set your DVR so you do not miss a thing.”

DICE is currently developing Battlefield 4 and a title in the Star Wars universe, but rumours suggest that it’s also hard at work on a sequel to Mirror’s Edge.

Last month, listings for Mirror’s Edge 2 appeared on Amazon Germany and Amazon Italy, before a help page for the game was set up on EA’s official website.

The title is rumoured to be a next-gen exclusive.
