Blizzard Entertainment's acclaimed dungeon crawler Diablo III is officially heading to Nintendo Switch later this year.

Known as Diablo III: Eternal Collection, this version of the action-RPG is billed as the 'definitive edition' of Diablo III, featuring the standard game plus the Reaper of Souls and Rise of the Necromancer expansions.

Essentially, this gives you access to seven unique character classes, a meaty five-act campaign to hack and slash your way through, plus the 'endless replayable' Adventure mode.

Not only that, but Diablo III: Eternal Collection features custom-built controls for Ninty's hybrid console, allowing you to take on the minions of hell by using either the Joy-Con or Pro Controller. Furthermore, you can take part in four-player cooperative via online multiplayer or by sharing a screen on a single console.

Nothing like a bit of old-fashioned couch co-op, eh?

If that wasn't enough, Switch owners can also tuck into some exclusive Zelda-themed content, chief among which includes an armour set inspired by series iconic baddie, Ganondorf.

'The Eternal Collection is the definitive version of Diablo III, and we’re thrilled to team up with Nintendo to unleash it for Nintendo Switch gamers around the world later this year,' commented Blizzard's CEO and Co-Founder, Mike Morhaime. 'Bringing the world together through epic entertainment is core to our mission at Blizzard—we can’t wait to welcome a new generation of demon-slayers to Sanctuary.'

Diablo III: Eternal Collection is due out for Switch later this year as a digital download and at brick-and-mortar retailers.
