Blizzard’s new wave of Diablo 4 seasonal spells for the upcoming Season 7 is adding exploding frogs to the ARPG, and players are already summoning armies of reptiles to aid them in battle. Added in the current private test realm for the game, the new frogs are a surprisingly powerful ally to have in a fight.
Just like last year’s Vampire Powers in Season of Blood, players will be able to unlock and upgrade a bunch of new seasonal spells for their characters. While the arrival of frog armies isn’t the only spell, it is by far the coolest.
Diablo 4 Season 7 seasonal spells
Revealed in a recent livestream, Blizzard is adding a small handful of new spells to unlock. Alongside the frog summon, you’ll also be able to unlock a swarm of fire bats, a powerful cyclone, an orb that flies around you and sets foes alight or ghouls that also fly around you but protect you from attacks, and more.
There is a full list of new spells coming to the game available right here, and Blizzard isn’t messing around. While many fans are excited about the arrival of class fixes with Season 7, the new spells are an awesome new addition to work towards.
Alongside the new seasonal spells, Season 7 is focusing entirely on the game’s Grim Favors system. For players who have yet to play the game, this system gives you short missions in the open world to get a bunch of easy loot.
With Season 7, Diablo 4’s world has been overtaken by Headrotten enemies, a new foe that you’ll be tasked with hunting down and destroying. By eliminating Headrotten, you’ll earn a new currency to spend at a newly expanded settlement set at the Tree of Whispers.
All of this is available in the PTR realm for Diablo 4, allowing players to try out the new content and help Blizzard fix exploits. In past PTR servers, players quickly discovered ways of dealing infinite damage and hitting the level cap in less than 20 minutes.
