Red Candle Games' horror title Devotion is finally available once more digitally, with the studio launching its own online store to sell the game and the studio's future projects.
The Taiwanese PC title has had an incredibly rocky road since originally being released in 2019. It first launched on Steam, but was pulled allegedly due issues related to since-removed art references that were banned in China. The game attempted to make a return to stores last year with a release on GOG, but was mysteriously pulled only 24 hours later citing "many messages from gamers", with Red Candle Games saying in a subsequent statement that it would not "stop striving" to release the game.
The studio says it will sell both Devotion and their previous title Detention, as well as any future projects in a DRM format on their store. Devotion has had lots of praise from the industry and players alike, and tells the story of a haunted apartment block in the 1980s turned into a hellish nightmare by the actions of the family that lived there over the course of seven years.
