Destiny 2 has kickstarted February with a bang by releasing Episode Heresy and the Star Wars crossover. There are also a dozen buffs, nerfs, and balance changes part of the update 8.2.0 patch notes as shared by Bungie. Now there is an imminent competition for D2 players to enter. The release date and time countdown for when the Destiny 2 Sundered Doctrine Dungeon Race will start is nearly over, and here you will find the rewards, how to win, disabled items, and more.

Destiny 2 Sundered Doctrine Dungeon Race release date

The release date for the Destiny 2 Sundered Doctrine Dungeon Race is February 7th. It is part of the D2 February 2025 roadmap, and its start date was confirmed back in Bungie’s TWID blog post for January 16^th.

It will start with Contest Mode only, but “Normal mode will be enabled as soon as the first fireteam completes the dungeon”.

When does the Destiny 2 Sundered Doctrine Dungeon Race start?

The start time for the Destiny 2 Sundered Doctrine Dungeon Race is 9AM PT/12PM ET/5PM GMT on February 7th.

Contest mode will be enabled for 48-hours, but, again “Normal mode will be enabled as soon as the first fireteam completes the dungeon”. If you want, you can watch the competition live on Twitch or YouTube via evanf1997 or cbgray.

Gloaming Dark emblem

• Available for all opted-in Twitch channels streaming Destiny 2’s Sundered Doctrine Dungeon from February 7, 4PM – February 11, 9AM PT.

Heretical Halation emblem

• New Twitch Sub drop for all opted-in Twitch channels streaming Destiny 2 between February 7, 9AM – March 4, 9AM.
• Subscribe or Gift a Sub on Twitch to your favorite opted-in Destiny 2 streamer.

How to enter

To enter the new dungeon, you will need to “assemble a fireteam of three players and start… in Contest Mode from the planet system map”. In addition, in order to be eligible, “All fireteam members must own The Final Shape Dungeon Key and acquire The Drowning Labyrinth quest”.

How to win

To complete the dungeon, the fireteam must loot the final chest after the final encounter. Your team’s completed time will not be recorded if you accidentally do not loot the final chest. In addition, to progress through the dungeon, “At least one member of the fireteam must have completed and received loot for every encounter and it must be the first time completing the activity for all members of the fireteam”.

The fireteam that completes the dungeon first will be the winner. Make sure to follow Destiny2Team on X as that is where Bungie will announce the champion.

Destin 2 Sundered Doctrine Dungeon Race rewards

The rewards for winning the Sundered Doctrine Dungeon Race are the first ever Dungeon Race trophies. Per the official rules, there will be one trophy for each winner, and the estimated value of the reward is $500.

Disabled list

For the duration of Contest mode in the Sundered Doctrine Dungeon, the following items will be disabled:

• Auto-Loading Holster Perk
• Class-specific Exotic Glaives
