Players will also be able to pre-download Lightfall on all platforms during the downtime, which is ideal as its file size is apparently pretty significant. The developers have noted, however, that the “new installation will improve load times, and overall disk space usage will be smaller afterwards.”

Along with the announcement of the maintenance period and pre-download availability, Bungie also specified a few of the features that are set to arrive with Lightfall. This includes new weapons like the Kinetic Strand Sidearm called Final Warning and a powerful Void Machine Gun named Deterministic Chaos.

A new Exotic helmet called Cyrtarachne’s Facade is also being made available for Hunters while Warlock’s are getting an Exotic leg armor named Swarmers. Of course, Titans weren’t forgotten as their Barricade now gives extra armor to its wielder and spawns two additional seeking projectiles that track targets aggressively.

Naturally, the pièce de résistance that most people are looking forward to are the different subclasses that will be making their debuts once it drops. This includes the Hunter Threadrunner, the Titan Berserker, and the Warlock Broodweaver, so players will have plenty to look forward to upon release.
