Following many days of speculation between players that FNAF could be coming to Fortnite, it has now been revealed that Five Nights At Freddy’s will be teaming up with Dead By Daylight to bring the iconic animatronics to the game next year. This has come as a huge disappointment to the Fortnite community, but many DBD players are excited about the news, which comes just before the Castlevania collaboration begins.

Behaviour Interactive has announced on social media that a Five Nights At Freddy’s collaboration will be coming to Dead By Daylight in Summer 2025. This comes following days of rumors that FNAF would be coming to Fortnite in the upcoming 30.40 update but now that looks like it won’t be the case and the teases were related to Dead By Daylight. Instead, Fortnite is set to see Fall Guys come to Battle Royale tomorrow.

No information has been given regarding the partnership, with just the artwork confirming it will be coming next year. This comes just days after Dead By Daylight saw the inclusion of a 2V8 mode, which has been incredibly popular so far, and a collaboration with the iconic Lara Croft and the Tomb Raider franchise.

The response to the news has been met with criticism by the Fortnite community, with many users taking to X to express their disappointment in the choice of game to partner with. Fortnite leaker @FNBRbuzz took the replies to say “Huge missed opportunity with Fortnite, all I’m gonna say…”

Not everyone was upset by the announcement though, as many Dead by Daylight fans are happy with the news, with @Tyler02442438 saying “W COLLAB but rip to the people that thought it was Fortnite.”

With the roadmap for Dead By Daylight being laid out for the next few months, and the Castlevania Chapter 33 is set to begin on August 6th, it will likely be a while before we get any new information about the collaboration, and we still have a year to wait before we can jump in and play all of the new content.

For the Fortnite players who are disappointed by the news, there is plenty to keep them occupied over the coming weeks and months. The next Fortnite season is set to go live on August 17th and it looks to be Marvel-themed. This will come before the game returns to Chapter 2 for the latest Fortnite OG season ahead of Chapter 6 launching in December 2024.
