There are a lot of incredible collaborations for Dead By Daylight. FNAF will fully release for all platforms in just slightly over a week, and then in July it’s anticipated we might get two survivors from The Walking Dead, although this is by no means confirmed. There are lot of dream crossovers for DBD, and one a lot of fans would like to see is Star Wars. Nothing is officially planned to be coming out, but a Dead By Daylight dev has confirmed Star Wars discussions with Disney are a “fact,” and these discussions included an iconic character for the Killer role.
Dead By Daylight confirms discussions with Disney for Star Wars chapter
Recently, Dead By Daylight director and head of partnerships at BeHaviour Interactive, Mathieu Cote, conducted an interview with YouTuber, Sawpalin. The interview is in French, so they may be some inaccuracies with specific phrasing and words due to English captions being automatically translated.
During the interview, Sawpalin asked Cote if BeHaviour had any plans to produce a chapter involving Star Wars. Cote revealed that, not only have discussions with Disney for Star Wars occurred, but they happened specifically with Darth Vader in mind for the killer.
Cote said, “I had a conversation with our contact at Disney where we mentioned Dath Vader, that’s happened, that’s a fact”. Unfortunately, Cote wouldn’t go into any more detail, which is to be expected.
This doesn’t confirm a Star Wars Chapter with Darth Vader as a Killer is officially planned, nor does it guarantee there will be any sort of crossover with Star Wars in the future. BeHaviour has collaborated with Disney in the past for the Alien franchise, so hopefully something can happen with Star Wars, but it’s by no means guaranteed.
Darth Vader is the most obvious choice for Killer as he’s arguably the most iconic character, let alone villain, part of the galaxy far, far away. A paragraph featuring Vader as a lone, unstoppable killer ala Rogue One would be fantastic, but, again, nothing is official.
