We are quickly approaching the final month of 2024, and BeHaviour has treated Dead By Daylight players to one of the best years since the game’s launch back in 2016. Right now players are able to enjoy the excellent 2v8 mode, but its departure is imminent. While the removal of 2v8 will be unfortunate, the good news is that November 28th is set to be a massive day for DBD players.

As per this month’s roadmap, 2v8 mode is set to end on November 26th. It will come back in future iterations for which the next set of killers and maps have already leaked, and a DBD dev has responded to the idea of transforming 2v8 into 3v5. Before its departure, make sure to grab all the Bloodpoints available as part of BeHaviour’s daily logins.

We will be sad to bid adieu to 2v8 mode for the second time this year, but the farewell needn’t be too miserable as it will eventually come back bigger and better, plus BeHaviour has a lot of plans for Dead By Daylight’s imminent future.

Dead By Daylight plans for November 28th

November 28th is set to be a big day for the Dead By Daylight community for a few reasons. The first is that it will bring forth the arrival of this year’s final episode, Chapter 34. Thanks to the PTB, we know of the perks for The Houndmaster killer and Taurie Cain survivor, but it’s possible they will receive tweaks come the official launch.

The release of Chapter 34 will also be accompanied by the killer updates included in the update 8.4.0 PTB patch notes. This includes significant updates for several killers: The Dark Lord (a.k.a. Dracula), The Demogorgon, Ghost Face, The Good Guy, The Lich, The Mastermind, and The Shape (a.k.a. Michael Myers).

In addition to Chapter 34 and a host of killer updates, BeHaviour has just announced on X that there will be a livestream on November 28th at 8AM PT/11AM ET/4PM GMT. You will be able to watch the stream live on either Twitch or YouTube.

While the stream will provide an overview of Chapter 34 and update 8.4.0, it should also reveal upcoming skins for December. Leaks have revealed some of the December skins with details about who is set to receive ugly sweaters, but official confirmation should be on the way.

There are no guarantees it will happen, but there is the possibility, however slim, that we might also get a tease as to the licensed killer’s identity for March. BeHaviour has done teases at the end of livestreams in the past to soft confirm the next licensed chapter’s IP, as case in point with CastleVania.

Fans originally believed that all signs pointed to the next licensed killer being Kayako, but a recent leak suggests it is a Japanese IP killer but not The Grudge. Although not guaranteed to happen, here’s hoping we do get a teaser for Year 9’s final licensed chapter.
