Dead By Daylight is on the brink of beginning its annual Halloween event. This is a yearly celebration of All Hallow’s Eve that brings with it some new skins to the store along with some limited-time rewards to unlock. This is part of the October 2024 roadmap, and the event will launch in-conjunction with the celebration of DBD Day. Once the Halloween festivity over, fans can look forward to the return of 2v8 mode in November, along with the Chapter 34 PTB if you play on PC through Steam.

BeHaviour’s yearly Halloween event gets better with every iteration, and the same is true for this year. The Dead By Daylight Haunted By Daylight 2024 release date and start time countdown is nearly over, and there will be plenty for players to unlock.

The release date for Dead By Daylight Haunted By Daylight 2024 is October 17th. This was confirmed during BeHaviour Interactive’s livestream.

This is the last major event for DBD this month. It will start alongside DBD Day, and both will last until November 7th. Although it is the final big event for October, there are still the following skin collections and Halloween giveaway scheduled by BeHaviour Interactive:

• Laugh N’ Slash Collection – Oct 30th
• Happy Halloween Bloodpoints giveaway – Oct 31st

When does DBD Haunted By Daylight 2024 start?

The release time for when Dead By Daylight Haunted By Daylight 2024 will start is 8AM PT/11AM ET/4PM BST on October 17th.

BeHaviour Interactive is bringing back The Void, and some changes were revealed during the livestream. Killer powers now work in The Void, and killers can also now see on their HUD when survivors enter the void realm.

Pallets, lockers, and chests are now present in The Void, and there is a change to portals. For this year, one portal will open at the start of the match and stay open, and you can use your Void energy collected to spawn more portals up to a total of four.

New The Void items

In addition to The Void changes mentioned before, this year is also introducing new items to The Void well. This will allow players to spend Void energy for items and abilities.

Starting with survivors, they can get a smoke bomb Void crystal. You will be able to throw the Void crystal on the ground to create smoke and help you disappear.

As for killers, the Void Well gifts a projectile ability called Captured Haunt. Upon activating this Haunt, it will cause any nearby survivors to scream and thus reveal their location.

Halloween rewards and skins

The Dead By Daylight Haunted By Daylight 2024 rewards include a unique skin for Yun Jin and The Trickster. In addition, players will be able to unlock six new skeleton shirts for survivors along with six new candy weapons for killers.

In addition to the above, there will be three new badges and banners. Lastly, logging in everyday will provide bloodpoints, rift fragments, or iridescent shards and a 1 time gift of 100 event currency.

DBD Day also starts on October 17th, and it brings exclusive cosmetics for the following survivors and killers:
