It has been an excellent year for Dead By Daylight, but, unfortunately, things are ending on a bit of a whimper with the announcement that DBD Mobile is shutting down early next year. Whether you played the spin-off a lot or never touched it with a barge pole, some slight good news is that DBD Mobile is offering free Bloodpoints for Dead By Daylight players to get.

There’s a lot of Bloodpoints to grab before the beginning of the new year. There are still hundreds-of-thousands to claim through the December 2024 daily login rewards, meanwhile, leaks have revealed two upcoming mini-events that will offer 2x and 3x BP for players to claim.

Now, in addition to the above, Dead By Daylight players can get even more free Bloodpoints in wake of the announcement DBD Mobile is shutting down.

DBD Mobile is shutting down, how to get free Dead By Daylight Bloodpoints

As a way of compensating players for DBD Mobile shutting down, BeHaviour Interactive are giving fans free Bloodpoints for the core Dead By Daylight experience available on console and PC.

In order to get the free Bloodpoints, you need to own a copy of Dead By Daylight whether on console or computer. Provided you own a copy of the core game, all you need to do is open DBD Mobile on your iOS or Android, and click ‘accept’ on the new pop-up.

Clicking accept on this pop-up will redirect you to the Welcome Package landing page where you can create or log into your BeHaviour Account. This BeHaviour account will need to be linked to the platform you own and play DBD on.

You can claim the Welcome Package starting December 18th, and rewards must be claimed before March 20th. The amount of free Bloodpoints you get will depend on how much money you have spent and XP you have unlocked in DBD Mobile. The baseline compensation rate is 500,000 Bloodpoints and 2,250 Iridescent Shards.

If you’ve never played DBD Mobile before, you can start playing before the game gets removed from app stores on January 16th, 2025. This should allow you to be eligible for the baseline compensation, so you may as well give it a go if you’ve never previously played.
