We’ve truly been blessed with some fantastic releases this April. Clair Obscur Expedition 33 has just come out and it’s the highest rated game of 2025 so far, meanwhile, we’ve just recently been treated to the shadow drop of the remarkable Elder Scrolls Oblivion remaster. While Oblivion has wowed everyone with its visual overhaul and more, there is another remaster coming out in Days Gone. Here you will find the release date and time countdown map for when Days Gone Remastered will come out for PS5 and PC Steam, and you will also find everything you need to know about all the new content and how to upgrade.
Days Gone Remastered release date
The release date for Days Gone Remastered is April 25th. This was confirmed by Sony in their original PlayStation Blog announcement.
In our original Days Gone review, we gave the game a very strong 8/10 rating. We praised the visuals and performances of everyone involved, as well as gushed about the open-world and the terrifying thrill of being chased by a horde of undead in mosh pits rivalling the massive scale of the Brad Pitt zombie thriller, World War Z.
Unfortunately, despite having a devoted fanbase, it appears we are not getting a sequel to Sons of Anarchy meets Walking Dead anytime soon. This is a massive shame as there are huge pockets of PlayStation gamers craving more zombie action from Bend Studio. While the lack of a sequel is disappointing, the good news is that the upcoming feature packs lots of new content.
When does Days Gone Remastered come out?
The release time for when Days Gone Remastered will come out on PS5 is 9PM PT on April 24th, as well as 12AM ET/12AM BST on April 25th.
Meanwhile, for PC Steam, the Broken Road DLC will release at 9PM PT on April 24th, as well as 12AM ET/5AM BST on April 25th. Both of these launch hours are confirmed by Bend Studio in an official release time map.
It’s important to note that PS5 players will get the remaster via upgrade or purchasing Remastered anew, meanwhile, PC Steam players will get the remastered content by purchasing DLC called Broken Road.

How to upgrade to Days Gone Remastered on PS5
If you purchased Days Gone on PS4 and now own a PS5 console, you will be able to upgrade to the Remastered version for £10. However, it’s important to note that, if you purchased a PS4 disc copy of the game, you must insert said disc into your PS5 to download, play, and be eligible for the remaster. If you bought a disc copy of the game on PS4 and own a PS5 without a disc drive, you will not be able to upgrade.
If you are not eligible for the upgrade, you can purchase Days Gone Remastered on its own for £44.99.

How to upgrade on PC Steam
On PC Steam, the difference is that the remastered new content comes in the form of DLC called Broken Road. This will cost £10, too, which is in addition to the base game which costs £34.99 on PC.
The PC version includes all of the remastered content except for new DualSense Haptic Feedback features, as well as additional accessibility features.
