The Nintendo Switch version of Dark Souls Remastered has been delayed until summer 2018, Bandai Namco Games has announced.
The spruced up edition of From Software’s death simulator was originally due to launch on May 25 across all platforms. However, while the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions are still on track for that date, Switch owners will have to wait a bit longer to die all over again.
As expected, this also means that the Solaire of Astora amiibo has been pushed back to the same time frame as Dark Souls Remastered on Switch. Bamco’s press release doesn’t give any explicit reason for the delay, although hopefully there’s no major issues with the game.
Dark Souls Remastered offers enhanced visuals and frame rate, although on the Switch it’ll run at 720p in handheld mode and 1080p when docked. Regardless of which way you play the game for the Big N’s console, it’ll clock in at 30fps as opposed to 60fps as seen on PS4 and Xbox One.
