Cyberpunk 2077 1.6 patch – The Edgerunner Update

The update includes some brand new content for Cyberpunk 2077, which sees some easter eggs from the anime come into the main game.

A big new addition includes a Wardrobe. You’ll be able to change the look of your clothing separate from the stat changes. In addition, the Ripperdocs are also getting new options, with a bunch of new additions.

The team has mentioned that 1.6 will be the “last major” update for the previous-gen versions of the game, however. Those still on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One will still get crucial tech updates, but future content will be for Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5 and PC only.

Cyberpunk 2077 1.6 patch fan requests – New Game Plus?

CD Projekt Red has implied that a long fan-requested feature of New Game Plus won’t make it into Cyberpunk 2077’s next major patch.

The studio is to hold a new Night City Wire broadcast this evening. During the event, it’s promised to update fans on the next patch coming to the RPG.

However, in response to a fan’s question on NG+ on Twitter, the game’s Senior Community Manager responded “We have plans to show you quite a few cool things, but NG+ is not one of them.”

Lead Level Designer Miles Tost would elaborate further on why the addition isn’t a simple one to add. “It’s rebalancing the entire game (enemies, equipment, items) and tons of testing; tweaking,” he tweeted.

“We’re listening and investigating. No promises, however. It’s sadly not a matter of just allowing you to start a new game with your existing V and calling it a day.”

Cyberpunk 2077 Night City Wire – what to expect, times and how to watch

What we can expect during tonight’s stream then? Well, first it’s a 23 minute long broadcast, touted as an Edgerunners special. So there’ll be a lot on the upcoming Cyberpunk Netrunners anime, coming to Netflix on September 17.

CD Projekt Red has also confirmed the broadcast will talk about the upcoming 1.6 patch for Cyberpunk 2077 itself as well as “what’s in store for the game in the future.”

The official Instagram account would let slip a little further detail. Indeed, the caption on the post for the stream confirmed some upcoming Cyberpunk Netrunners DLC is on the way.

“We will be chatting with Miles Tost and Patrick Mills about all the new stuff that is about to come to Cyberpunk 2077 with the next update – including Edgerunners-inspired content and missions, new weapons and new features.

The latest Night City Wire broadcast will take place tonight, Tuesday September 6. Proceedings will kick off from 5pm CEST – that’s 4pm UK time.
