A new teaser for Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty has been revealed during The Game Awards 2022. The futuristic, open-world adventure has come a long way since its tumultuous start and now it’s added even more intrigue by introducing Idris Elba to the game’s cast list.

The second trailer opens with a scene that shows a crashed airplane on fire signifying the chaos that’s to come. It then displays the dystopian world of Cyberpunk 2077 that its players have come to be familiar with. These scenes are all being displayed while Johnny Silverhand – portrayed by Keanu Reeves – narrates in the background.
The setting then shifts to a bar where the silhouette of a man sitting alone seems familiar. According to the preview, his name is Solomon Reed, an FIA agent for the New United States of America, who’s played by Idris Elba. Reed will seemingly play a pivotal role in the events of the upcoming Cyberpunk 2077 expansion since a majority of the sneak peek features him. But as is the norm with any new chapter, players can expect a plethora of new features and stories to arrive.
The first preview, which was released in September 2022, had already excited plenty of users during its launch. With the reveal of Idris Elba’s inclusion, players are now even more hyped for this latest story addition.

Plenty of commenters under both videos are cautiously optimistic regarding the current trend of the game. Most responses especially praise the game’s well-written story and gameplay even though the latter suffers from a few bugs.
