OLED monitors are still a fairly new concept. They’re pretty few and far between, with only a few brands having produced them. This includes names such as Samsung, Phillips, Corsair and LG, so you know whichever deal you pick up you’re going to be in good hands.

While OLED gaming monitors are usually priced well above $1,000+, this year’s holiday sales have seen discounts approaching 40% slashed off the price. The Samsung 34-inch Odyssey G85SB, for example, which RTings has praised as capable of displaying “an outstanding picture and get brighter than other monitors that use a more traditional WOLED panel.” While it’s for certain one of the best Cyber Monday 1440p monitor deals, there are still plenty of gamers out there looking for 4K gaming monitors displaying a brilliant OLED panel.

Other deals include the Alienware AW3423DW which is now $896 (was $1,200). There’s also the Philips Evnia which is now $799 (was $1100).

LG 32EP950-B 32inch 4K

Ultrafine UHD (3840 x 2160) OLED Pro Display with Adobe RBG 99% / DCI-P3 99%, VESA Display HDR 400 True Black, 1M:1 Contrast Ratio and Tilt/Height/Pivot Adjustable Stand – Black

This is where you start to tap into a much higher price range – the LG 32EP950 is a 32-inch 4K OLED monitor, though the price is not for the faint hearted. That said, you’re going to be able to save over $1,200 if you pick it up this Cyber Monday, so now’s your best shot. There’s also the KTC 43-inch OLED gaming monitor available with $410 savings. The main thing with this monitor is that it’s not as reputable a brand as the others, so we’d advise caution here.

Stick to QHD if you’re interested in an OLED gaming monitor

OLED displays are extremely expensive to manufacture. This year’s OLED TV deals have seen discounts up to $1,000, yet they’re still notoriously pricey due to the 4K resolution they’re bringing with them. If you’re looking for a gaming monitor, you’re also going to be seeking out fast refresh, HDR and G-Sync / FreeSync compatibility. This only drives the cost up more, meaning that the trade-off for both price and performance is that you’re generally limited to a 1440p resolution.

We’ve already come to the conclusion that the best 1440p monitors are brilliant choices for gaming, so there’s even more reason why you should consider OLED gaming monitors for your hardware upgrade this year.
