It’s a tough break for the game as it is coming out just a couple of days after Oblivion remastered. Hopefully this doesn’t take away any shine from the game as it is currently the best rated game of 2025 alongside Blue Prince on Metacritic, and it is well worth buying and playing.

For those not in the know, the game is a fantasy epic with turn-based RPG combat that rivals Persona 5. It has a unique and remarkable story, and it stars a cast of terrific voice actors such as Ben Starr from Final Fantasy 16 and Jennifer English from Baldur’s Gate 3.

Yes, Clair Obscur Expedition 33 is available day-one on Xbox Game Pass. It is another day-one release for Microsoft’s subscription service following in the footsteps of Oblivion Remastered.
