ZOINK Games and SnapDragon Games have announced the development of KORE, an original platforming game based on the premise of three different characters stuck inside a robotic suit that enhances their abilities.

KORE has a bit of history, having originally been in development for release on the Xbox under the name The Kore Gang. With the game’s developer going out of business the project was taken back to the drawing board. In 2007 ZOINK partnered with developer SnapDragon Games to bring the game to Wii. This process saw the game redesigned, with many new features added, plus a visual overhaul.

KORE sees players taking control of Pixie, Madboy and Rex as they explore a magical and whimsical world to fight back the Krank brothers who are attacking the centre of the Earth.

“KORE stands out not only for its rich gameplay experience and signature art style, but also for its wacky scenario and sense of humour,” said Klaus Lyngeled, Creative Director at Zoink. “During the last years, a vast amount of work has gone into the design as well as into the story and cinematics, and I am sure the audience will appreciate the way we poured our heartblood into it.”

ZOINK is currently looking for partners to publish the game worldwide.
